Ibarra Chavarria might have been able to make a better finish in the 11th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Geovanny Lebrija. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ibarra Chavarria ran back to his position shaking his head. Rocio Barrera fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Geovanny Lebrija having to interfere. Navarro Bonjoch showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Hudobro in the 17th minute of the match. Jose Rubian hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. If Ibarra Chavarria had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 24 minutes into the game, Rocio Barrera cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Geovanny Lebrija was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Geovanny Lebrija showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ibarra Chavarria in the 30th minute of the match. After 31 minutes, Grueso Munaya mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Quitumbe SC and the Codeiros F.C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 42nd minute Ibarra Chavarria shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Geovanny Lebrija saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Codeiros F.C.'s goalkeeper couldn't reach when Cristian Hudobro 44 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-1. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ibarra Chavarria to strike the kick off in the second half. Navarro Bonjoch showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Hudobro, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Navarro Bonjoch showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Hudobro in the 62nd minute of the match. Codeiros F.C.'s Jorge Artime shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 66th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Geovanny Lebrija but with some difficulty. In the 70th minute, Justavino Montaño hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hernan Antigua in the 71st minute of play forced Codeiros F.C.'s goalkeeper Navarro Bonjoch to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Codeiros F.C.:s Navarro Bonjoch showed great skill when he stopped Vernaza Rajo:s penalty. If Ibarra Chavarria had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Geovanny Lebrija showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rocio Barrera, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. Ibarra Chavarrias short, quick shot in the 84thth minute got Geovanny Lebrija to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Vilson Manteca hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. Ibarra Chavarria fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Geovanny Lebrija having to interfere. 92 minutes into the game, Vilson Manteca was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Quitumbe SC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Codeiros F.C. the free kick. After a defensive mix-up in Quitumbe SC's zone, Rocio Barrera stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Geovanny Lebrija came out of the goal and Rocio Barrera tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Navarro Bonjoch came out of the goal in the 95th minute to try and stop a shot by Quitumbe SC's Hernan Antigua. But to his dismay, Hernan Antigua quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Many of Codeiros F.C.'s supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Codeiros F.C. may have spent more time on the ball, but Quitumbe SC were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
