Luis Borizar charged in rather forcefully in the 34th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Luis Borizar the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 34th match minute, Paquimaro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luis Borizar to maneuver through the defense. Independiente del Valle's Espinoza Placencia couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 35th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Paquimaro. 38 minutes into the match, Independiente del Valle's Simon Haya sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tenorio Corono narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Raúl Sal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Raúl Sal in the 44th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Xefe Cangas prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Carlos Arijola to strike the kick off in the second half. Tenorio Corono made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Carlos Arijola in the 68th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tenorio Corono saved Paquimaro from getting behind. When Carlos Arijola came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Independiente del Valle fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Carlos Arijola couldn't finish the play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Simon Haya in the 71st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tenorio Corono saved Paquimaro from getting behind. Paquimaro's Tenorio Corono played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Simon Haya in the 72nd minute of play. Carlos Arijola struck a weak shot in the 76th minute. Tenorio Corono didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Independiente del Valle. After a defensive mix-up in Paquimaro's zone, Simon Haya stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tenorio Corono came out of the goal and Simon Haya tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Simon Haya in the 85th minute of play forced Paquimaro's goalkeeper Tenorio Corono to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Independiente del Valle's Simon Haya in the 87th minute got a chance for a shot 87th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Paquimaro's goalie prevented a goal. Sergio Antia could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 89th minute of the match, but Xefe Cangas made a huge save. After some careless play in the Paquimaro defense, Carlos Arijola kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tenorio Corono. The Paquimaro fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tenorio Corono should have stopped the shot. Carlos Arijola received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Tenorio Corono tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
