Spectators: 7312 (Terracing: 5485, Seating: 1682, VIP seats: 145) Liga de Quito's Ulizes Sedeño started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute Richard Villandiego shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gian-Carlo Septiem saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Liga de Quito's Ulizes Sedeño got a free kick in the 7th minute. Lastra Magarinos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Martinez Saribiarte, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. After 10 played minutes Los Profes got a freekick which was hit by Ovidio Muzquiz. In the 17th minute, Jerrald Fontecha hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience was convinced that Sylwester Borucki's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gian-Carlo Septiem was relentless in the 20th minute of the game. Boguslaw Bycofski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Gian-Carlo Septiem tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Boguslaw Bycofski in the 30th minute of play forced Liga de Quito's goalkeeper Gian-Carlo Septiem to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Los Profes's Lastra Magarinos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ulizes Sedeño in the 32nd minute of play. Boguslaw Bycofski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Gian-Carlo Septiem tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Boguslaw Bycofski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

The wind increased when Boguslaw Bycofski made the kick off in the second half. Pascual Surco hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Ulizes Sedeño managed to get in a good position for a shot. Liga de Quito's supporters rose to their feet, but Ulizes Sedeño was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lastra Magarinos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gian-Carlo Septiem made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sylwester Borucki in the 60th minute of play. In the 65th minute, one of Liga de Quito:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Liga de Quito. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Sylwester Borucki managed to get in a good position for a shot. Los Profes's supporters rose to their feet, but Sylwester Borucki was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gian-Carlo Septiem breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Lastra Magarinos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ulizes Sedeño in the 71st minute of the match. Braulio Flores charged in rather forcefully in the 75th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Braulio Flores the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Los Profes booed when Liga de Quito was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Braulio Flores didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 78th match minute, Liga de Quito was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Robin Mascaran to maneuver through the defense. In the 79th minute, Sylwester Borucki left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Los Profes fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Liga de Quito's defense didn't have a chance, in the 89th minute, when Lastra Rebollo scored to the left of an out of position Gian-Carlo Septiem, making the score, 0-3. With a little luck, Liga de Quito's Gian-Carlo Septiem got control of the ball when Boguslaw Bycofski tried to sneak it across the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Richard Villandiego kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Gian-Carlo Septiem. That made the score 0-4 in the 95 minute of play. Boguslaw Bycofski took the ball and in the 99 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gian-Carlo Septiem. Gian-Carlo Septiem dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-5. Los Profes played a much better game than Liga de Quito and deserved their victory. The Liga de Quito players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
