Victoro Acuña started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Enrico Ergueta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Jose-Antonio Barrena made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Juan Valluerca in the 12th minute of play. With a little luck, S.D. Quito's Francisco Zumista got control of the ball when Simon Rolado tried to sneak it across the goal line. Juan Valluerca charged in rather forcefully in the 18th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Juan Valluerca the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 18th minute, Juan Valluerca hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 21st minute Victoro Acuña shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jose-Antonio Barrena saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Simon Rolado came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Lever Bronthers fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Simon Rolado couldn't finish the play. S.D. Quito's Francisco Zumista played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leandro Gadañon in the 31st minute of play. Simon Rolado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Francisco Zumista tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Enrico Ergueta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Victoro Acuña hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. Simon Rolado struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Francisco Zumista didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lever Bronthers. Quito's Victoro Acuña after 44 played minutes turned away three defenders near the goal, and after that shot a ball that was too difficult for Lever Bronthers's goalkeeper to hold. Score! 1-1. Victoro Acuña did an outstanding performance 47 minutes into the match, when he by himself got past the opposing team's defense and with a quick scored 1-2 to the right of an irritated Jose-Antonio Barrena in the goal.
