Herman Björkman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Augusto Lebon in the 6th minute of play. Eugenio Izaran received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Herman Björkman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rolando Dosal struck a weak shot in the 9th minute. Herman Björkman didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Almendral. Augusto Lebon could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 13th minute of the match, but Herman Björkman made a huge save. Raul Camarero blasted a shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Herman Björkman having to make a save. If Rolando Dosal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alvaro Escajedo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dannes Anduaga in the 24th minute of play. In the 25th minute Dannes Anduaga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alvaro Escajedo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Almendral booed when ZABECA DE MI BOGUE DORAPA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Xuoco Portela didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 30th match minute, Almendral was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Raul Camarero to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eugenio Izaran got free with Herman Björkman in the 34th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Rolando Dosal managed to get in a good position for a shot. Almendral's supporters rose to their feet, but Rolando Dosal was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Herman Björkman breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience was convinced that Paúl Cervantes's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Herman Björkman was relentless in the 43rd minute of the game.

The wind increased when Rolando Dosal made the kick off in the second half. Herman Björkman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rolando Dosal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Raul Camarero's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Herman Björkman read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 81st minute of play. Herman Björkman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eugenio Izaran in the 87th minute of the match. In the 92nd minute, Rolando Dosal left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Almendral fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Almendral fully deserved thier win.
