But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Urrutia Asteguieta couldn't finish the play. Urrutia Asteguieta scored 0-1 in the 12th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dominguez Sepulveda, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 17 minutes into the game, Camilo Pedolles was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Manchester United FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mistico Club the free kick. After 17 played minutes Manchester United FC got a freekick which was hit by Camilo Pedolles. Juan-Pablo Villarinos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Zuberoa Losada tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Manchester United FC's Camilo Pedolles got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 44th match minute, Manchester United FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tomas Trasmiera to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Manchester United FC's zone, Juan-Pablo Villarinos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zuberoa Losada came out of the goal and Juan-Pablo Villarinos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Mistico Club booed when Manchester United FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lucio Milla didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

When Nestor Sierra fell near the penalty area in the 51st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Manchester United FC's protests and gave Nestor Sierra a yellow card for diving instead. Juan-Pablo Villarinos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zuberoa Losada having to interfere. If Urrutia Asteguieta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Urrutia Asteguieta got free with Dominguez Sepulveda in the 77th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 84th minute, Juan-Pablo Villarinos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Zuberoa Losada came out of the goal in the 89th minute to try and stop a shot by Mistico Club's Juan-Pablo Villarinos. But to his dismay, Juan-Pablo Villarinos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. The Manchester United FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Manchester United FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
