Batista Lezana sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 13th minute Jimmy Horquizar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leon Casanoves saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Salvador Barzurqueta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sergio Travieso having to interfere. Hector Berrondo's late challenge caught a Chiguilpe FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hector Berrondo helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Zandroo getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Hector Berrondo hit a great ball. In the 21stth minute of the game Salvador Barzurqueta who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Zandroo's Sergio Travieso was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 22 minutes, Valdo Velandia mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Chiguilpe FC and the Zandroo players grew even worse after the yellow card. Xove Narbona fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sergio Travieso having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valdo Velandia in the 28th minute of play forced Zandroo's goalkeeper Sergio Travieso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Xove Narbona struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Sergio Travieso didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chiguilpe FC. Salvador Barzurqueta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Sergio Travieso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 35 minutes into the game, Xove Narbona cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Sergio Travieso was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 40 minutes of play, Chiguilpe FC's Xove Narbona made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sergio Travieso was left in no man's land by his defense there! The supporters of Zandroo booed when Chiguilpe FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Valdo Velandia didn't get a good kick on the ball. Zandroo's Batista Lezana got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After the first half Chiguilpe FC were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

In the 66th minute, Zandroo's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Xove Narbona fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Xove Narbona had several of the Zandroo's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 67 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-4 score and a disappointed Sergio Travieso as he didn't even see the shot coming. Sergio Travieso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Salvador Barzurqueta, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. Rene Golpe hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. 77 minutes into the match, Zandroo's goalkeeper Sergio Travieso had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Xove Narbona. The audience thought a goal was coming when Xove Narbona got free with Sergio Travieso in the 78th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Leon Casanoves showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jimmy Horquizar, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. The audience was convinced that Salvador Barzurqueta's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sergio Travieso was relentless in the 87th minute of the game. Salvador Barzurqueta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute.
