Spectators: 6680 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1680, VIP seats: 0) Burrotieta FC's Ortiz Sanes started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With a little luck, Real Guayaquil F.C.'s Alexandro Letatu got control of the ball when Facundo Erazo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Intriago Gamarra took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Guillermo Cerrabe, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alexandro Letatu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ortiz Sanes, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Facundo Erazo got free with Alexandro Letatu in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 15 minutes into the match, Burrotieta FC's goal looked a bit too open when Guillermo Cerrabe came free, but Intriago Gamarra reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 20th minute of the match Santiago Villafana sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Intriago Gamarra skillfully saved the ball. Burrotieta FC's Intriago Gamarra played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guillermo Cerrabe in the 24th minute of play. Ortiz Sanes blasted a shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Alexandro Letatu having to make a save. Ortiz Sanes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Alexandro Letatu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Ortiz Sanes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 39th minute of the match, Ortiz Sanes tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Alexandro Letatu saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Espinola Albo in the 46th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Intriago Gamarra saved Burrotieta FC from getting behind. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When Guillermo Cerrabe came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Real Guayaquil F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Guillermo Cerrabe couldn't finish the play. Burrotieta FC's Intriago Gamarra proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 55th minute of the match, managed to save Burrotieta FC from getting a goal against them. Ricardo Lara charged in rather forcefully in the 56th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ricardo Lara the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Ortiz Sanes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Burrotieta FC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Espinola Albo 64 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-2. In the 74th match minute, Real Guayaquil F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Julian Narganes to maneuver through the defense. Intriago Gamarra made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Espinola Albo in the 79th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Burrotieta FC's Faustino Tellado got a free kick in the 80th minute. In the 81st match minute Javier Recasens ran free in the middle of the field and shot a long shot which scored behind a totally surprised Intriago Gamarra. 0-3. Alexandro Letatu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Facundo Erazo, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Espinola Albo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Real Guayaquil F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Espinola Albo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Intriago Gamarra breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 88th minute, Facundo Erazo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Alexandro Letatu was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Real Guayaquil F.C. eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
