Clemente Galindez hit a great ball. 22 minutes into the match, CLUB PIPON AZUL EMELEC's goalkeeper Zuberoa Balanza had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sandro Piñon. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sandro Piñon in the 32nd minute of play forced CLUB PIPON AZUL EMELEC's goalkeeper Zuberoa Balanza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dainius Karaliūnas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from López Rabelo, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. In the 36th minute López Rabelo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dainius Karaliūnas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 37th minute, Angelita SC's Santiago Vinas ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Zuberoa Balanza. Zuberoa Balanza yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. The crowd rose to their feet as Angelita SC's Sandro Piñon slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Zuberoa Balanza. That made the score 3-1 after 46 minutes of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sandro Piñon to make the kick off. Zuberoa Balanza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sandro Piñon, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Dainius Karaliūnas was a little too slow when Sixto Ojesto got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 56th minute. The score was now 3-2. Angelita SC were furious when Cesar Abad was red carded, 61 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. 60 minutes into the game, one of Angelita SC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Dainius Karaliūnas went to the wrong direction when Ortiz Alegria was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. When the match had gone on for 67 minutes, Sixto Ojesto took a quick shot and it went in 3-3 without a chance for Dainius Karaliūnas to make any attempt to save it. Sixto Ojesto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dainius Karaliūnas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sixto Ojesto in the 81st minute of play. If López Rabelo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 90 minutes into the game, Sixto Ojesto recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Dainius Karaliūnas. Sixto Ojesto showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-4. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. CLUB PIPON AZUL EMELEC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
