The crowd rose to their feet as Membrillo's Valentin Tiagonce slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Rolando Agunaga. That made the score 1-0 after 32 minutes of play. Nunez Rocha's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Rolando Agunaga firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 39th minute, Nunez Rocha left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Membrillo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. When Pinto Picavea fell near the penalty area in the 45th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Manipili's protests and gave Pinto Picavea a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Membrillo booed when Manipili was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pinto Picavea didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Nunez Rocha came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Membrillo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nunez Rocha couldn't finish the play.

Blanco Carnero hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Valentin Tiagonce's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rolando Agunaga was relentless in the 60th minute of the game. Armando Illescas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Juan-Carlos Maza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 89 played minutes, Membrillo's Ur Traveso shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Rolando Agunaga came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line.
