Rimnkhin's Alberto Usabiaga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Omar Berinduaga in the 3rd minute of play. When Saritama Ubierna fell near the penalty area in the 3rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rimnkhin's protests and gave Saritama Ubierna a yellow card for diving instead. After a defensive mix-up in Rimnkhin's zone, John Sombredo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alberto Usabiaga came out of the goal and John Sombredo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alberto Usabiaga showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aguinaga Marco, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. 20 minutes into the match, Briones FC's Omar Berinduaga sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alberto Usabiaga narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Guamán Colina was out of position in the 21 minute of play, and Cagua Ballugera capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Cagua Ballugera really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. 26 minutes into the match, Rimnkhin's goal looked a bit too open when John Sombredo came free, but Alberto Usabiaga reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Yépez Codosal's late challenge caught a Briones FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Yépez Codosal helped the player get up and apologised. In the 32nd match minute, Rimnkhin was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Yépez Codosal to maneuver through the defense. John Sombredo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Alberto Usabiaga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. John Sombredo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alberto Usabiaga read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 37th minute of play. John Sombredo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alberto Usabiaga having to interfere. When Pablo Balbas fell near the penalty area in the 46th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Briones FC's protests and gave Pablo Balbas a yellow card for diving instead. In the 45th minute, one of Briones FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Briones FC. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cagua Ballugera made a kick off. Guamán Colina took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cagua Ballugera, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. John Sombredo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 57th minute of the match, but Alberto Usabiaga made a huge save. Yépez Codosal was shown his second yellow card after 58 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Yépez Codosal kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. 63 minutes into the match, Briones FC's John Sombredo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alberto Usabiaga narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Saritama Ubierna managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rimnkhin's supporters rose to their feet, but Saritama Ubierna was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Guamán Colina breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Blandón Limon's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Guamán Colina read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 78th minute of play. Alberto Usabiaga made an important save on a dangerous shot by John Sombredo in the 81st minute. A collision led to Rimnkhin getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Marco Brunet hit a great ball. Omar Berinduaga recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Alberto Usabiaga didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from John Sombredo went, in the 87th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. After 90 played minutes Rimnkhin got a freekick which was hit by Cagua Ballugera. Omar Berinduaga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Alberto Usabiaga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Guamán Colina stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cagua Ballugera's shot from short distance in the 94th minute. Alberto Usabiaga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Omar Berinduaga in the 96th minute of play. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
