ED F.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave América de Quito the free kick. The supporters of América de Quito booed when ED F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Monge Mino didn't get a good kick on the ball. But to his dismay, Telmo Carioca quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. 74 minutes into the match, América de Quito's goal looked a bit too open when Diego Ambrosio came free, but Genaro Guilarte reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The corner led ED F.C.'s Villarreal Buscando to fire away a dangerous shot which Genaro Guilarte despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Uhin Lacle showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Chico Hernani in the 85th minute of the match.
