After a rather tough play, CD Banipe's Ximen Palencia got a free kick in the 15th minute. Simon Rotaetamorga acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 16th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Jaime Ocon. Ramirez Feyto's late challenge caught a CD Banipe's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. John Regato showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ximen Palencia, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Jaime Bermudo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in DT Quito's zone, Ximen Palencia stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. John Regato came out of the goal and Ximen Palencia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jacobo Gallaiztegui kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The wind increased when José Maria Neto made the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ximen Palencia in the 59th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck John Regato prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 61 minutes into the match, CD Banipe's goal looked a bit too open when Jaime Ocon came free, but Simon Rotaetamorga reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Simon Rotaetamorga showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vellito Zubillaga, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. 70 minutes into the match, Vinicio Velosa had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Simon Rotaetamorga. CD Banipe's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Vinicio Velosa was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. Zamora Eguilaz kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. 83 minutes into the match, Vellito Zubillaga notched a goal, 4-1, to the right of CD Banipe's Simon Rotaetamorga. Simon Rotaetamorga was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. John Regato took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ximen Palencia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 96th minute, José Maria Neto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. CD Banipe's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
