The referee ignored Demoledor Ambateño's protests and gave Adolfo Zotes a yellow card for diving instead. After having played for 11 minutes, Vasco Vuelta managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Demoledor Ambateño's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vasco Vuelta was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 13th minute, Yoel Zarzosa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ayalan SC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Braulio Carcamo 28 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mario Migolla in the 33rd minute of play forced Demoledor Ambateño's goalkeeper Jose-Antonio Tablada to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vasco Vuelta in the 37thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Maximo Mariategui, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Castillo Granda hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. Jose-Antonio Tablada made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mario Migolla in the 44th minute of play. Maximo Mariategui took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Geovanni Villavicencio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 47th minute Mario Migolla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jose-Antonio Tablada saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Geovanni Villavicencio was the one to do the kick off. After having played for 51 minutes, Geovanni Villavicencio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Demoledor Ambateño's supporters crossed their fingers, but Geovanni Villavicencio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ayalan SC's Maximo Mariategui played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Geovanni Villavicencio in the 53rd minute of play. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Maximo Mariategui prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a defensive mix-up in Ayalan SC's zone, Vasco Vuelta stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Maximo Mariategui came out of the goal and Vasco Vuelta tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 59 minutes into the match, Ayalan SC's goal looked a bit too open when Braulio Carcamo came free, but Maximo Mariategui reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Adolfo Zotes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maximo Mariategui having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Braulio Carcamo in the 62nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Maximo Mariategui saved Ayalan SC from getting behind. Maximo Mariategui took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rey Quadros, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 71 minutes into the game, Intriago Pardo recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Jose-Antonio Tablada. Intriago Pardo showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-1. Maximo Mariategui made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Braulio Carcamo in the 75th minute of play. 76 minutes into the match, Ayalan SC's goal looked a bit too open when Vasco Vuelta came free, but Maximo Mariategui reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Demoledor Ambateño booed when Ayalan SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gabriel Respaldiza didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 77 minutes, Vasco Vuelta managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Demoledor Ambateño's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vasco Vuelta was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Demoledor Ambateño. Rey Quadros fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maximo Mariategui having to interfere. Maximo Mariategui stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Braulio Carcamo's shot from short distance in the 91st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Braulio Carcamo in the 94th minute of play forced Ayalan SC's goalkeeper Maximo Mariategui to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. There was no doubt that Demoledor Ambateño were the better team. Demoledor Ambateño's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
