The audience was convinced that Fabio Riega's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Barros Urquiaga was relentless in the 8th minute of the game. Fabio Riega struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Barros Urquiaga didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tsawantas. If Fabio Riega had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 25 minutes into the match, Tsawantas's goal looked a bit too open when Reyes Tros came free, but Tyrone Borroel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tyrone Borroel came out of the goal in the 27th minute to try and stop a shot by Ubu Noir's Guerrón Mondrevilla. But to his dismay, Guerrón Mondrevilla quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 30 minutes into the match, Ubu Noir's Guerrón Mondrevilla sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tyrone Borroel narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ubu Noir's Guerrón Mondrevilla got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Tyrone Borroel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guerrón Mondrevilla in the 38th minute of play. If Cristian Igual had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Barros Urquiaga made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Grandoso in the 44th minute. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Guerrón Mondrevilla stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Cristian Igual was extremely unlucky when he, in the 52nd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. After 56 played minutes Tsawantas got a freekick which was hit by Viteri Agado. After a defensive mix-up in Ubu Noir's zone, Fabio Riega stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Barros Urquiaga came out of the goal and Fabio Riega tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 60th minute Daniel Grandoso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Barros Urquiaga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 64 minutes into the match, Ubu Noir's goal looked a bit too open when Fabio Riega came free, but Barros Urquiaga reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cristian Igual could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 68th minute of the match, but Tyrone Borroel made a huge save. 71 minutes into the match, Ubu Noir's goal looked a bit too open when Fabio Riega came free, but Barros Urquiaga reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Fabio Riega had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Ubu Noir defense, Daniel Grandoso kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Barros Urquiaga. The Ubu Noir fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Barros Urquiaga should have stopped the shot. Tyrone Borroel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Guerrón Mondrevilla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Tsawantas had won after a very even match.
