Spectators: 7345 (Terracing: 5511, Seating: 1689, VIP seats: 145) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Zilar Ceraso kicked off to start the match. Zilar Ceraso recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 6th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 8th minute, Chiquito Quiero got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 10 minutes into the game, Wellington Soporta recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Videl Cigaran. Wellington Soporta showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Salas Torcida stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Zilar Ceraso's shot from short distance in the 14th minute. 21 minutes into the match, Diego Lainez notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Liga de Quito's Salas Torcida. Salas Torcida was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 24th minute of the match Silvio Valpuesta sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Salas Torcida skillfully saved the ball. In the 26th minute Chiquito Quiero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Salas Torcida saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. CD Guarderraya's Zilar Ceraso got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Zilar Ceraso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Salas Torcida having to interfere. In the 31st minute, Richard Reymondo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 35th minute of the match CD Guarderraya got a corner. Liga de Quito's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Bernebe Hurtaran ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Bernebe Hurtaran got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Salas Torcida quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Salas Torcida showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lucas Dahlberg in the 38th minute of the match. Zilar Ceraso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Salas Torcida tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rubén Tenorio kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. CD Guarderraya's Chiquito Quiero got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Salas Torcida stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Chiquito Quiero's shot from short distance in the 45th minute. After 45 played minutes Liga de Quito got a freekick which was hit by Richard Reymondo. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Edgardo Zubieta to strike the kick off in the second half. If Zilar Ceraso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Salas Torcida made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Chiquito Quiero in the 58th minute of play. Zilar Ceraso in the 62ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Salas Torcida, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Fabio Fonoll took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 63rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Salas Torcida. Liga de Quito's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Chiquito Quiero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Salas Torcida having to interfere. Chiquito Quiero was extremely unlucky when he, in the 73rd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Chiquito Quiero was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 76th minute. CD Guarderraya's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. After 77 played minutes Liga de Quito got a freekick which was hit by Rey Tato. With his leg Salas Torcida managed to avoid a goal in the 85thth minute, when CD Guarderraya's Zilar Ceraso fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Zilar Ceraso struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Salas Torcida didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for CD Guarderraya. Salas Torcida made a fantastic save in the 91st minute, when Zilar Ceraso sent off a good shot on target.
