Spectators: 6695 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1695, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Xabel Zubizarrieta got the match started through his kick off. Venceslao Bacon recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 4th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Merced's Edison Secadura got a good chance for a goal in the 6th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Xabel Zubizarrieta struck a weak shot in the 7th minute. Rogelio Pedrosa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Merced. After a rather tough play, Ahuana's Gómez Villate got a free kick in the 13th minute. In the 14th minute Xabel Zubizarrieta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rogelio Pedrosa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Edison Secadura fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rogelio Pedrosa having to interfere. Xabel Zubizarrieta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Rogelio Pedrosa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Ahuana getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Victorino Cordal hit a great ball. In the 28th minute, Machado Arizabaleta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ahuana's Rogelio Pedrosa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Xabel Zubizarrieta in the 31st minute of play. Merced were awarded a corner in the 33th minute after Ahuana's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Alexandro Victoria took the corner. Alexandro Victoria made a great header on Merced's corner, it was just that Ahuana's Rogelio Pedrosa managed to reach the ball for a save. When Edison Secadura came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Merced fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edison Secadura couldn't finish the play. If Edison Secadura had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Xabel Zubizarrieta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rogelio Pedrosa having to interfere. After 48 minutes of play, Merced's Xabel Zubizarrieta made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rogelio Pedrosa was left in no man's land by his defense there! Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Alexander Mocellar made a kick off. Rogelio Pedrosa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Xabel Zubizarrieta in the 65th minute of play. Ahuana's Alexander Mocellar got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ahuana's Rogelio Pedrosa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Xabel Zubizarrieta in the 71st minute of play. In the 74th minute Venceslao Bacon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nicolas Leza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Xabel Zubizarrieta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Rogelio Pedrosa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Edison Secadura could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 86th minute of the match, but Rogelio Pedrosa made a huge save. In the 88th minute, Merced's Xabel Zubizarrieta ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Rogelio Pedrosa. Rogelio Pedrosa yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-2. The audience was convinced that Xabel Zubizarrieta's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rogelio Pedrosa was relentless in the 91st minute of the game. In the 98th play minute Edison Secadura came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Rogelio Pedrosa. 0-3. Merced's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
