José Montejo charged in rather forcefully in the 2nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ignacio Orgera in the 3rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Adolfo Collazos prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience was convinced that Uhin Guruzeta's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Adolfo Collazos was relentless in the 5th minute of the game. With a little luck, Chibunga FC's Lopez Teza got control of the ball when Bone Sopeña tried to sneak it across the goal line. Chibunga FC's Ignacio Orgera got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With his leg Lopez Teza managed to avoid a goal in the 20thth minute, when UD Chives's Felix Melendez fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Adolfo Collazos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Uhin Guruzeta, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. In the 28th minute, Felix Melendez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Lopez Teza was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Bone Sopeña showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 38 minute of play. In the 42nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Chibunga FC's goalkeeper Lopez Teza, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Bone Sopeña came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the UD Chives fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bone Sopeña couldn't finish the play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Felix Melendez to strike the kick off in the second half. Ignacio Orgera blasted a shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Adolfo Collazos having to make a save. Uhin Guruzeta recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Adolfo Collazos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Uhin Guruzeta, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. When Uhin Guruzeta, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 66 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Adolfo Collazos was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Lopez Teza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felix Melendez in the 74th minute of the match. After having played for 75 minutes, Bone Sopeña managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. UD Chives's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bone Sopeña was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 77 played minutes UD Chives got a freekick which was hit by José Montejo. Ignacio Orgera struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Adolfo Collazos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chibunga FC. Felix Melendez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bone Sopeña fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lopez Teza having to interfere. Uhin Guruzeta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lopez Teza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Felix Melendez, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Chibunga FC's zone, Bone Sopeña stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lopez Teza came out of the goal and Bone Sopeña tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. UD Chives were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest.
