Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Vermudo Badia in the 14th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cuero Zumalburu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Dennis Sibila hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. In the 17thth minute of the game Vermudo Badia who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Guabillo SC's Cuero Zumalburu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 17th match minute, Guabillo SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by José Mauricio to maneuver through the defense. Vermudo Badia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Cuero Zumalburu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 26 minutes, Estevez Carrera managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Guabillo SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Estevez Carrera was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Estevez Carrera blasted a shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Alvaro Marote having to make a save. Cuero Zumalburu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marco Lopidana's shot from short distance in the 36th minute. Marco Lopidana received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Cuero Zumalburu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Guabillo SC's Cuero Zumalburu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vermudo Badia in the 45th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Vermudo Badia made the kick off in the second half. Vermudo Badia kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. Alvaro Marote made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Estevez Carrera in the 58th minute of play. Alvaro Marote took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ismael Oquendo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Ismael Oquendo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Marco Lopidana came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the Chican fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marco Lopidana couldn't finish the play. After having played for 77 minutes, Vermudo Badia managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chican's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vermudo Badia was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Ismael Oquendo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Chican's Vermudo Badia got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Marco Lopidana's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 84thth minute, Cuero Zumalburu skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 88 minutes into the match, Guabillo SC's goal looked a bit too open when Vermudo Badia came free, but Cuero Zumalburu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marco Lopidana fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cuero Zumalburu having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Guabillo SC's zone, Marco Lopidana stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cuero Zumalburu came out of the goal and Marco Lopidana tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Despite being the better team, Chican failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
