After having played for 9 minutes, Rodney Frontera managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. CD Anagumba's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rodney Frontera was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Diego Camposa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to CD Anagumba getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Claudio Morillo hit a great ball. Xinaro Larabiedra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Yoel Reinoso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Machetajero booed when CD Anagumba was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Claudio Morillo didn't get a good kick on the ball. 31 minutes into the match, CD Anagumba's goal looked a bit too open when Ubendu Codina came free, but Yoel Reinoso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 41st minute Ubendu Codina shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yoel Reinoso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Machetajero's Evelio Cardiel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Diego Camposa in the 46th minute of play. Rodney Frontera received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Evelio Cardiel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Marquez Terroba made a kick off. Yoel Reinoso made an important save on a dangerous shot by Xinaro Larabiedra in the 53rd minute. If Diego Camposa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jaime Camp kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. In the 61st minute, Machetajero's Ubendu Codina dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-2. Xinaro Larabiedra could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 66th minute of the match, but Yoel Reinoso made a huge save. CD Anagumba's Yoel Reinoso proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 69th minute of the match, managed to save CD Anagumba from getting a goal against them. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rodney Frontera during the 71st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 71 played minutes CD Anagumba got a freekick which was hit by Rodney Frontera. Ubendu Codina recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Xinaro Larabiedra's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Yoel Reinoso firmly grabbed it by the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marquez Terroba in the 79th minute of play forced CD Anagumba's goalkeeper Yoel Reinoso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Efrain Angeles received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Yoel Reinoso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Yoel Reinoso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marquez Terroba in the 84th minute of the match. After having played for 86 minutes, Rodney Frontera managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Marquez Terroba sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Yoel Reinoso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ubendu Codina, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. Yoel Reinoso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ubendu Codina, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
