Samuel Calzada's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Yiyo Berar read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 11th minute of play. If Patricio Alonso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 20th minute, Cortez Lijarco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tonio Fortea was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 20th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Yiyo Berar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Samuel Calzada in the 22nd minute of the match. When Vidal Salinas fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Abanico's protests and gave Vidal Salinas a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Abanico getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Vidal Salinas hit a great ball. Xzavaier Palomar didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Patricio Alonso went, in the 26th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. 29 minutes into the game, Jesus Gordejuela was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. UD Uchupucun's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Abanico the free kick. Patricio Alonso hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. After the first half Abanico were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Patricio Alonso to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute Jesus Gordejuela shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yiyo Berar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
