The audience was convinced that Angelo Pescatori's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ramiro Villarmea was relentless in the 4th minute of the game. Shadampamba's supporters rose to their feet, but Ursino Echandi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alfonso Jesus breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ramiro Villarmea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Chatruc Ballejos in the 20th minute of play. Ramiro Villarmea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Angelo Pescatori, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Ramiro Villarmea stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Chatruc Ballejos's shot from short distance in the 23rd minute. Tercero Ciaran kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. If Angelo Pescatori had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Chatruc Ballejos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Ramiro Villarmea tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ramiro Villarmea stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Chatruc Ballejos's shot from short distance in the 32nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Angelo Pescatori in the 33rd minute of play forced Shadampamba's goalkeeper Ramiro Villarmea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 40th minute, Venceslao Cumbres hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 43 minutes into the match, Lemixillo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ursino Echandi came free, but Alfonso Jesus reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half Lemixillo FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Angelo Pescatori was the one to do the kick off. When Angelo Pescatori came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Lemixillo FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Angelo Pescatori couldn't finish the play. Shadampamba's Ramiro Villarmea proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save Shadampamba from getting a goal against them. Chatruc Ballejos took the ball and in the 57 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ramiro Villarmea. Ramiro Villarmea dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Chatruc Ballejos made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 61stth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Ramiro Villarmea would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. Caicedo Saldoval sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 67 minutes into the game, Venceslao Cumbres was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Lemixillo FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Shadampamba the free kick. After a rather tough play, Lemixillo FC's Venceslao Cumbres got a free kick in the 67th minute. Quiñónez Capel kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. In the 75th minute, Fernando Sarandeses fired a really elegant long shot, but Ramiro Villarmea threw himself and managed to get hold of the ball just in front of the right post. If Caicedo Saldoval had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 81st minute, Venceslao Cumbres hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Anangonó Castañon was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 81st played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. If Chatruc Ballejos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 91 minutes into the match, Shadampamba's Caicedo Saldoval sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alfonso Jesus narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Alfonso Jesus showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ursino Echandi in the 92nd minute of the match. Chatruc Ballejos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Marcelo Espriella recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
