In the 12th match minute, Falcons Sporting Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alfonso Balboa to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tenorio Molinuevo in the 14th minute of play forced The Phoenix F.C.'s goalkeeper Wilson Hualde to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 15thth minute of the game Tenorio Molinuevo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but The Phoenix F.C.'s Wilson Hualde was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Darío Calon came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the The Phoenix F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Darío Calon couldn't finish the play. Nixon Gama came free in the 19th minute and tried to tip the ball over Efrain Morelo, but to the joy of Falcons Sporting Club's supporters the ball went over. When Tenorio Molinuevo came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Falcons Sporting Club fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tenorio Molinuevo couldn't finish the play. The penalty shot was made by Vedillo Basante, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of The Phoenix F.C.'s Wilson Hualde. 3-0. Many of The Phoenix F.C.'s supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. The Phoenix F.C. may have spent more time on the ball, but Falcons Sporting Club were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
