If Ramirez Ribota had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Xencio Osas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Braulio Tellez having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Ganzhun FC's zone, Xencio Osas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Braulio Tellez came out of the goal and Xencio Osas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 9 played minutes Ganzhun FC got a freekick which was hit by Victorio Zaldua. Ramirez Ribota could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 10th minute of the match, but Braulio Tellez made a huge save. Xencio Osas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Ramirez Ribota had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Victorio Zaldua fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ganzhun FC's protests and gave Victorio Zaldua a yellow card for diving instead. In the 23rd match minute, Ganzhun FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Victorio Zaldua to maneuver through the defense. Ramirez Ribota scored 1-1 in the 32nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Braulio Tellez, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Xencio Osas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Santiago Surco tried in the 39th minute to hit away a contribution but miss-kicked the ball which ended up in his own goal and left an unhappy Braulio Tellez a with quite unnecessary self made goal. Result 2-1. Ramirez Ribota fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Braulio Tellez having to interfere. Xencio Osas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Braulio Tellez having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Xencio Osas to make the kick off. Braulio Tellez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Xencio Osas in the 53rd minute of play. 55 minutes into the game, Yiyo Altares cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Uxio Sastrias was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ramirez Ribota fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Braulio Tellez having to interfere. Uxio Sastrias took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ur Alcedo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 70th minute, Gonzalo Borines hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ur Alcedo in the 71st minute of play forced Ingapirca FC's goalkeeper Uxio Sastrias to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Victorio Zaldua kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Ganzhun FC's zone, Xencio Osas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Braulio Tellez came out of the goal and Xencio Osas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 87th minute Ramirez Ribota shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Braulio Tellez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 92 minutes into the match, Ganzhun FC's goal looked a bit too open when Xencio Osas came free, but Braulio Tellez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Ramirez Ribota had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Ingapirca FC players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
