Oswaldo Muriel made a fantastic save in the 5th minute, when Roldan Saladrigues sent off a good shot on target. In the 6th match minute, Alemahu FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Xose Balmori to maneuver through the defense. CD Zuleta's Inocencio Travieso couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 7th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Alemahu FC. If Carlos Palenciano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. CD Zuleta's Carlos Palenciano got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. John Rosio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Oswaldo Muriel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Carlos Palenciano made a kick off. Carlos Palenciano struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Oswaldo Muriel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for CD Zuleta. After 61 minutes, Rolando Barrosa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Alemahu FC and the CD Zuleta players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Alemahu FC getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Rolando Barrosa hit a great ball.
