Xorxe Goiri received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Roman Pellon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Roman Pellon made an important save on a dangerous shot by Xacobo Cabrero in the 14th minute. If Xorxe Goiri had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 17 minutes into the match, barcelona's goalkeeper Roman Pellon had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Xacobo Cabrero. barcelona's defense didn't have a chance, in the 17th minute, when Xacobo Cabrero scored to the left of an out of position Roman Pellon, making the score, 1-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Xorxe Goiri managed to get in a good position for a shot. Barcelona S.C's supporters rose to their feet, but Xorxe Goiri was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Roman Pellon breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Roman Pellon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Xorxe Goiri in the 23rd minute of the match. Alexander Salces sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 26 minutes into the match, Pio Hernandez notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Barcelona S.C's Mendoza Murrillo. Mendoza Murrillo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Roman Pellon came out of the goal in the 31st minute to try and stop a shot by Barcelona S.C's Xorxe Goiri. But to his dismay, Xorxe Goiri quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Roman Pellon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Xorxe Goiri, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. With a little luck, barcelona's Roman Pellon got control of the ball when Xacobo Cabrero tried to sneak it across the goal line. Xorxe Goiri struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Roman Pellon didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Barcelona S.C. The supporters of barcelona booed when Barcelona S.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lorenzo Bonilla didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marlon Vados took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 46th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Mendoza Murrillo. Barcelona S.C's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Xorxe Goiri to make the kick off. In the 55th minute, one of Barcelona S.C:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Barcelona S.C. Xacobo Cabrero might have been able to make a better finish in the 67th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Roman Pellon. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Xacobo Cabrero ran back to his position shaking his head. If Xacobo Cabrero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee gave Juan Godinez a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Juan Godinez kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. In the 96th minute, Veremundo Proaño hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Barcelona S.C had played much better football throughout.
