Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Rodolfo Peramato kicked off to start the match. Zoilo Negrete showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rodolfo Peramato in the 3rd minute of the match. The supporters of CD Cachi booed when C.S. Guayaquil Atletico was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Xzaiver Barja didn't get a good kick on the ball. CD Cachi's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Christobal Agüero in the 11th minute. A nice corner shot did that Christobal Agüero got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Calle Davalillo quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 16th minute, CD Cachi's Kléber Arrillaga seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Kléber Arrillaga the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of CD Cachi protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Kléber Arrillaga had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. 16 minutes into the game, one of CD Cachi:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 18th minute there was a penalty for C.S. Guayaquil Atletico. Félix Huercanos stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Zoilo Negrete. 0-1. C.S. Guayaquil Atletico's Calle Davalillo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Camilo Melgarejo in the 29th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rodolfo Peramato in the 31st minute of play forced CD Cachi's goalkeeper Zoilo Negrete to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 34th minute the ball was on its way in behind C.S. Guayaquil Atletico's goalkeeper Calle Davalillo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Camilo Melgarejo took the ball and in the 35 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Calle Davalillo. Calle Davalillo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Calle Davalillo made a fantastic save in the 38th minute, when Cordero Fuerte sent off a good shot on target. When Camilo Melgarejo came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the CD Cachi fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Camilo Melgarejo couldn't finish the play. 42 minutes into the game, Rodolfo Peramato was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. C.S. Guayaquil Atletico's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave CD Cachi the free kick. After 42 played minutes C.S. Guayaquil Atletico got a freekick which was hit by Rodolfo Peramato. When Rodolfo Peramato came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the C.S. Guayaquil Atletico fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rodolfo Peramato couldn't finish the play. CD Cachi's Camilo Melgarejo got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The wind increased when Camilo Melgarejo made the kick off in the second half. If Bolívar Maysonet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 55 minutes of play, CD Cachi's Bolívar Maysonet made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Calle Davalillo was left in no man's land by his defense there! Hurtado Gutarrate received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Zoilo Negrete tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rodolfo Peramato received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Calle Davalillo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Camilo Melgarejo, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. Xzaiver Barja got his second yellow card in the match during the 66th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. A collision led to C.S. Guayaquil Atletico getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Xzaiver Barja hit a great ball. After 68 played minutes C.S. Guayaquil Atletico got a freekick which was hit by Chucho Latonero. Tenorio Azpiroz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to C.S. Guayaquil Atletico getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Félix Huercanos hit a great ball. Cordero Fuerte fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Calle Davalillo having to interfere. When Leo Andolz fell near the penalty area in the 83rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored CD Cachi's protests and gave Leo Andolz a yellow card for diving instead. Cordero Fuerte blasted a shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Calle Davalillo having to make a save. Camilo Melgarejo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Calle Davalillo having to interfere. Cordero Fuerte recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tenorio Azpiroz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Calle Davalillo having to interfere. Calle Davalillo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cordero Fuerte in the 94th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in C.S. Guayaquil Atletico's zone, Camilo Melgarejo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Calle Davalillo came out of the goal and Camilo Melgarejo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
