Spectators: 6663 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1663, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Jimmy Solares took the kick off in the first half of the match. The attack was good, but when Xantalen Llave in the 5th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. After a defensive mix-up in CD Gualaqui's zone, Jimmy Solares stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eugenio Guate came out of the goal and Jimmy Solares tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Valencia Hortiz shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. 14 minutes into the match, CD Gualaqui's goalkeeper Eugenio Guate had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Xantalen Llave. In the 21st minute, Xantalen Llave got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jimmy Solares recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in CD Gualaqui's zone, Xantalen Llave stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eugenio Guate came out of the goal and Xantalen Llave tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A hard shot by Omar Verdaguer from long distance, 35 minutes into the match, got Eugenio Guate's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Fernando Pola managed to get in a good position for a shot. CD Gualaqui's supporters rose to their feet, but Fernando Pola was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Urritz Valino breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of CD Gualaqui booed when UD Camposano was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joaquin Voces didn't get a good kick on the ball. After the first half CD Gualaqui were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Diaz Zubeldia made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jimmy Solares in the 52nd minute of play forced CD Gualaqui's goalkeeper Eugenio Guate to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 54th minute Diaz Zubeldia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Urritz Valino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, UD Camposano's Camilo Ochagavia got a free kick in the 57th minute. A collision led to CD Gualaqui getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Gabriel Arena hit a great ball. In the 62nd minute, Fernando Pola left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The CD Gualaqui fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. The attack was good, but when Jimmy Solares in the 68th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Jimmy Solares might have been able to make a better finish in the 75th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Eugenio Guate. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jimmy Solares ran back to his position shaking his head. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Xantalen Llave in the 78th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Eugenio Guate prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Diaz Zubeldia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Urritz Valino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With 88 minutes on the clock, Omar Velayo commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in CD Gualaqui fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 87th minute. Penalty! In the 90th minute there was a penalty for UD Camposano. Maximo Camarero stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Eugenio Guate. 1-2. In the 96th minute, Xantalen Llave got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Xantalen Llave in the 98th minute of play forced CD Gualaqui's goalkeeper Eugenio Guate to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see UD Camposano lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
