An unexpectedly hard shot by Marlon Monteagudo in the 37th minute of play forced Yunga's goalkeeper Rolando Criado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Yunga's Rolando Criado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Raitin Sarralde in the 38th minute of play. Rolando Criado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marlon Monteagudo, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. With a little luck, Guachapala FC's José-Luis Cantiello got control of the ball when Camilo Lloreda tried to sneak it across the goal line. With 48 minutes on the clock, Gurutz Horna commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 50th minute of the match Castillo Farias shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but José-Luis Cantiello showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Urre Urrue was the one to do the kick off. Henri Oher fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rolando Criado having to interfere. 60 minutes into the game, Edmundo Teran was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Yunga's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Guachapala FC the free kick. The supporters of Guachapala FC booed when Yunga was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edmundo Teran didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 62 minutes of play, Guachapala FC's Marlon Monteagudo made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rolando Criado was left in no man's land by his defense there! Guachapala FC's Maximo Arizabalo got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some careless play in the Yunga defense, Marlon Monteagudo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rolando Criado. The Yunga fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rolando Criado should have stopped the shot. With his leg Rolando Criado managed to avoid a goal in the 89thth minute, when Guachapala FC's Marlon Monteagudo fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Thanks to some nice moves Marlon Monteagudo could shoot a difficult shot in the 97th minute, which Rolando Criado however easily saved by the left post. After 99 minutes, Raitin Sarralde mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Guachapala FC and the Yunga players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Guachapala FC's Raitin Sarralde got a free kick in the 99th minute.
