The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to Dep. Kito getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Zilar Soldevilla made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Besosa in the 9th minute of play. When Cristian Besosa came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the Hacheros fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristian Besosa couldn't finish the play. Sergio Gaztañondo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Hacheros's zone, Caicedo Aza stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Chico Varlett came out of the goal and Caicedo Aza tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience was convinced that Cristian Besosa's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Zilar Soldevilla was relentless in the 25th minute of the game. If Matamba Berdugo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Dep. Kito's zone, Cristian Besosa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zilar Soldevilla came out of the goal and Cristian Besosa tried to chip the ball over his head. Kito's Zilar Soldevilla played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Matamba Berdugo in the 34th minute of play. In the 36th minute the ball was on its way in behind Dep. Kito's goalkeeper Zilar Soldevilla, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Hacheros's Boris Velicia got a free kick in the 41st minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 48th minute, Cristian Besosa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hacheros's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristian Besosa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zilar Soldevilla breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

A hard shot 53 in the game by Matamba Berdugo from a close distance when the talented Zilar Soldevilla managed to make a qualified save. Dep. Kito's players were relieved. Cristian Besosa was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 55th minute. Hacheros's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. A collision led to Dep. Zilar Soldevilla was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 61st minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Xamin Bendicho. If Matamba Berdugo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 71st minute Cristian Besosa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zilar Soldevilla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Valerio Manglano charged in rather forcefully in the 75th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Valerio Manglano the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Ubendu Abres kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. Dep. Kito's Zilar Soldevilla proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 86th minute of the match, managed to save Dep. Kito from getting a goal against them. The corner ended in Cristian Besosa almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Dep. Kito's Zilar Soldevilla did a great save. James Herquinigo's late challenge caught a Hacheros's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. James Herquinigo helped the player get up and apologised. James Herquinigo hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match.
