Kito's goal looked a bit too open when Ulizes Tegeiro came free, but Zilar Soldevilla reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 5 minutes into the match, Aut's goalkeeper Ramirez Santiago had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by James Herquinigo. Gerardo Mathey kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Aut's Gerardo Mathey got a free kick in the 16th minute. The supporters of Dep. Kito booed when Aut was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ulizes Tegeiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ramirez Santiago took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Caicedo Aza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Zilar Soldevilla didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from David Arlines went, in the 35th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Aut's Ramirez Santiago played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Caicedo Aza in the 40th minute of play. If James Herquinigo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Caicedo Aza made a kick off. When Diego Tavira fell near the penalty area in the 55th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Dep. Kito's protests and gave Diego Tavira a yellow card for diving instead. The goalkeeper, Zilar Soldevilla, was totally fooled by Aut's Washington Falceto, who 56 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Zilar Soldevilla was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 61st minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Tomas Cancel. David Arlines received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Zilar Soldevilla tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A hard shot by Yago Regaño from long distance, 73 minutes into the match, got Zilar Soldevilla's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. With a little luck, Dep. Kito's Zilar Soldevilla got control of the ball when David Arlines tried to sneak it across the goal line. 80 minutes into the match, Dep. Kito's goalkeeper Zilar Soldevilla had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by David Arlines.
