If Zilar Crujeiras had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Paúl Polla took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Caicedo Imaz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 22nd minute Villota Bolimburu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paúl Polla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Villota Bolimburu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Paúl Polla was relentless in the 25th minute of the game. Villota Bolimburu scored 0-2 in the 43rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Paúl Polla, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Villota Bolimburu in the 48th minute of play forced Canaribamba's goalkeeper Paúl Polla to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.
