The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Igor Baneros showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 20 played minutes, Shatuyunta FC's Figueroa Montemiuño shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Paúl Polla came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Shatuyunta FC reached it. The supporters of Shatuyunta FC booed when Canaribamba was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Xantalen Godinez didn't get a good kick on the ball. Paúl Polla made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antonio Wallner in the 23rd minute of play. Zilar Crujeiras's late challenge caught a Shatuyunta FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Zilar Crujeiras helped the player get up and apologised. Zilar Crujeiras hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. Antonio Wallner received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Paúl Polla tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 35th minute of the match Figueroa Montemiuño sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Paúl Polla skillfully saved the ball. In the 38th minute Zilar Crujeiras shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Igor Baneros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Canaribamba's Paúl Polla played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Enrico Gayferos in the 39th minute of play. If Zilar Crujeiras had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 46th minute, Shatuyunta FC's Enrico Gayferos seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Enrico Gayferos the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Shatuyunta FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Enrico Gayferos had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee gave Canaribamba a penalty, 50 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Mario Sevane, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Shatuyunta FC's Igor Baneros. 0-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Macias Torroba to make the kick off. When the match had gone on for 58 minutes, Zilar Crujeiras took a quick shot and it went in 0-3 without a chance for Igor Baneros to make any attempt to save it. In the 65th minute, Canaribamba's Fernandez Basante ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Igor Baneros. Igor Baneros yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-4. Amador Arriano received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Igor Baneros came out and tried to block the shot, but Amador Arriano slotted it home off the left post making it 0-5 in the 69th minute. After 73 played minutes Canaribamba got a freekick which was hit by Fernandez Basante. Asencio Oquendo made in the 75th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Amador Arriano immediately put the ball in play. Antonio Wallner recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Mendez Güega blasted a shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Paúl Polla having to make a save. After a defensive mix-up in Canaribamba's zone, Antonio Wallner stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Paúl Polla came out of the goal and Antonio Wallner tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Macias Torroba scored 0-6 in the 86th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Igor Baneros, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 90th minute, Zilar Crujeiras ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Igor Baneros was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-7. Antonio Wallner received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Paúl Polla tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match was over Canaribamba could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Shatuyunta FC throughout the match.
