After a rather tough play, Mugos Sporting Club's Fabricio Mestanza got a free kick in the 7th minute. 11 minutes into the game, Xavier Pescatori recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Machado Pernia. Xavier Pescatori showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Ordóñez Padro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Urbez Enriquez in the 19th minute of play. Ramiro Villaraud fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Machado Pernia having to interfere. Ordóñez Padro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zuri Acosta, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. After 37 minutes of play, Aguilas's Rolando Trabado made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ordóñez Padro was left in no man's land by his defense there! Aguilas's Machado Pernia proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to save Aguilas from getting a goal against them. After 43 minutes, Camilo Valcarce mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mugos Sporting Club and the Aguilas players grew even worse after the yellow card. 43 minutes into the game, one of Mugos Sporting Club:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Zuri Acosta was the one to do the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Rolando Trabado managed to get in a good position for a shot. Aguilas's supporters rose to their feet, but Rolando Trabado was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ordóñez Padro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Freddy Elenes kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Zuri Acosta's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ordóñez Padro was relentless in the 60th minute of the game. In the 77th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mugos Sporting Club's goalkeeper Ordóñez Padro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ordóñez Padro went to the wrong direction when Ferrer Persol was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. With a little luck, Mugos Sporting Club's Ordóñez Padro got control of the ball when Rolando Trabado tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ordóñez Padro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zuri Acosta, who was totally free with the ball in the 98th minute. When the match was over Aguilas could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Mugos Sporting Club throughout the match.
