Zavior Pedolles's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cotera Salceda read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 39th minute of play. Zavior Pedolles sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Zavior Pedolles might have been able to make a better finish in the 45th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cotera Salceda. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Zavior Pedolles ran back to his position shaking his head. After a defensive mix-up in DREAM TEAM FC's zone, Camilo Mioño stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cotera Salceda came out of the goal and Camilo Mioño tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Camilo Mioño stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 54 played minutes UD Mompiche got a freekick which was hit by Camilo Mioño. Chiriboga Rilo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Omar Delatorre, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. 59 minutes into the match, Omar Delatorre had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Chiriboga Rilo. UD Mompiche's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Omar Delatorre was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. Chiriboga Rilo was left in no man's land by his defense there! Zavior Pedolles blasted a shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cotera Salceda having to make a save. When UD Mompiche's Camilo Mioño in the 76th minute got a chance for a shot 76th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 93rd minute, Ricardo Viñambre hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 94 minutes into the match, Martin Lueje sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Cotera Salceda threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Martin Lueje this time.
