Spectators: 6000 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Estacio Munozcano started the match with the kick off. Estacio Munozcano struck a weak shot in the 3rd minute. Nestor Corel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Balsalito FC. In the 6th match minute, Atletico Guayaquil FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paulo Toralino to maneuver through the defense. After 8 minutes, Gian-Carlo Bueno mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Balsalito FC and the Atletico Guayaquil FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Gian-Carlo Bueno kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. 14 minutes into the game, Balsalito FC's Estacio Munozcano nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Nestor Corel made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. 18 minutes into the game, Paulo Toralino threw the ball into play from the sideline. Balsalito FC's Gian-Carlo Bueno quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Ximenez Alsina fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nestor Corel having to interfere. After 23 minutes of play, Atletico Guayaquil FC's Emilio Burbua made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Peter Hernan was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a defensive mix-up in Atletico Guayaquil FC's zone, Ximenez Alsina stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nestor Corel came out of the goal and Ximenez Alsina tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 29 minutes, Costante Verga managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Balsalito FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Costante Verga was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Balsalito FC's Segio Valderas got a free kick in the 31st minute. Chico Fardi was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 32nd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Xorxe Peart charged in rather forcefully in the 33rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Xorxe Peart the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Atletico Guayaquil FC getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Ramiro Candelaria hit a great ball.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Xavion Saldivar to make the kick off. Peter Hernan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Xavion Saldivar, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. After a rather tough play, Balsalito FC's Gian-Carlo Bueno got a free kick in the 54th minute. Balsalito FC's Peter Hernan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to save Balsalito FC from getting a goal against them. In the 58th minute the ball was on its way in behind Atletico Guayaquil FC's goalkeeper Nestor Corel, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Costante Verga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Estacio Munozcano came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the Balsalito FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Estacio Munozcano couldn't finish the play. If Ximenez Alsina had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ximenez Alsina in the 72nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nestor Corel prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Peter Hernan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ramiro Candelaria in the 74th minute of play. Nestor Corel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ximenez Alsina in the 76th minute of play. When Estacio Munozcano came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Balsalito FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Estacio Munozcano couldn't finish the play. Ximenez Alsina recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Nestor Corel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ximenez Alsina, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. Ximenez Alsina blasted a shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nestor Corel having to make a save. Emilio Burbua hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. Balsalito FC were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Atletico Guayaquil FC to leave the ground with a draw.
