With a couple of smart ball manuevers Xavion Saldivar in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marco Coleira saved UD Chaquir from getting behind. Xulian Arroyo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 26th minute, Xavion Saldivar fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Marco Coleira, passed just outside the right post. Camacho Escrig received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Nestor Corel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Xulian Arroyo to make the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in UD Chaquir's zone, Wilson Coronado stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marco Coleira came out of the goal and Wilson Coronado tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Roque Falceto's late challenge caught a Atletico Guayaquil FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Roque Falceto helped the player get up and apologised. In the 54th minute, Roque Falceto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 56th match minute, Atletico Guayaquil FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paulo Toralino to maneuver through the defense. Xulian Arroyo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Nestor Corel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Aires Heyros charged in rather forcefully in the 68th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Xulian Arroyo in the 82nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nestor Corel prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 82nd minute, Wilson Coronado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Xulian Arroyo in the 85th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nestor Corel saved Atletico Guayaquil FC from getting behind. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. UD Chaquir had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
