With his leg Lucas Reve managed to avoid a goal in the 26thth minute, when S. D. Aucas's Méndez Tafoya fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After 28 minutes, Valdo Ferrero mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the S. D. Aucas and the Morrillo SC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Bustos Benegas stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Palacios Sorribo's shot from short distance in the 31st minute. If Camilo Gacel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lucas Reve made a fantastic save in the 40th minute, when Méndez Tafoya sent off a good shot on target. In the 45th minute, Méndez Tafoya got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Lucas Reve showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Valdo Ferrero, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Palacios Sorribo to make the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in S. D. Aucas's zone, Palacios Sorribo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bustos Benegas came out of the goal and Palacios Sorribo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Morrillo SC getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Nicolas Espineiro hit a great ball. Matamba Cortinez took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 55th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Lucas Reve. Morrillo SC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Palacios Sorribo in the 65th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bustos Benegas saved S. D. Aucas from getting behind. An unexpected shot in the 67th minute by Lucio Tresgallo got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. When Nicolas Espineiro fell near the penalty area in the 70th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Morrillo SC's protests and gave Nicolas Espineiro a yellow card for diving instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Palacios Sorribo in the 88th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bustos Benegas saved S. D. Aucas from getting behind. After 88 played minutes S. D. Aucas got a freekick which was hit by Zoilo Servicial. The supporters of S. D. Aucas booed when Morrillo SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nicolas Espineiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. During the 93rd minute of the match Nicolas Espineiro completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Nicolas Espineiro a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Nicolas Espineiro hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. In the 95th minute the ball was on its way in behind Morrillo SC's goalkeeper Lucas Reve, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Lucas Reve stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Méndez Tafoya's shot from short distance in the 97th minute. When the final whistle sounded Morrillo SC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than S. D. Aucas.
