The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Freddy Trianes during the 7th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 10th match minute, Orense Sporting Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Reasco Andinyach to maneuver through the defense. In the 15th minute, Espinoza Samperio ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. John Boudes was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ximenes Perrote in the 21st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg John Boudes saved Orense Sporting Club from getting behind. A collision led to Orense Sporting Club getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Alvaro Cifuentes hit a great ball. Fabio Cañas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paúl Laime, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Orense Sporting Club's John Boudes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ximenes Perrote in the 37th minute of play. The supporters of Orense Sporting Club booed when Saicam FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kléber Curbelo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fabio Cañas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Reasco Andinyach in the 46th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ximenes Perrote was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, Saicam FC's Espinoza Samperio got a free kick in the 52nd minute. When Kléber Curbelo fell near the penalty area in the 54th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Saicam FC's protests and gave Kléber Curbelo a yellow card for diving instead. In the 54th minute, Kléber Curbelo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Saicam FC's Fabio Cañas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paúl Laime in the 55th minute of play. A collision led to Saicam FC getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Gabriel Roa hit a great ball. In the 57th minute, Paúl Laime made a precise shot to the right of Fabio Cañas. Saicam FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Fabio Cañas came out of the goal in the 62nd minute to try and stop a shot by Orense Sporting Club's Reasco Andinyach. But to his dismay, Reasco Andinyach quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. In the 68th minute, Espinoza Samperio fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alvaro Cifuentes in the 77th minute of play forced Saicam FC's goalkeeper Fabio Cañas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Ximenes Perrote's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but John Boudes was relentless in the 79th minute of the game. Fabio Cañas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Reasco Andinyach, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute.
