The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to UD Caupolican getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Manuel Barma got free with Zuri Covielles in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jorge Agudo in the 43rd minute of play forced F.C. CasaBrava's goalkeeper Zuri Covielles to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Juan Carcedo kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. After having played for 46 minutes, Jorge Agudo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. UD Caupolican's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jorge Agudo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.

Zuri Covielles was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Urbes Garrote in the 67th minute of play forced F.C. CasaBrava's goalkeeper Zuri Covielles to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Santiago Pedron sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 71st match minute, UD Caupolican was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Raúl Muelas to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 75 minutes, Jorge Agudo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. With a little luck, UD Caupolican's Rogelio Liebana got control of the ball when Rafael Pestaña tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rafael Pestaña got free with Rogelio Liebana in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Manuel Barma received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Zuri Covielles tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. UD Caupolican's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
