Ferrer Hiriart could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 4th minute of the match, but Zarbonin Frejon made a huge save. Rodas's Xicu Robla got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Lisandro Pardabu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cortez Ceraso in the 17th minute of the match. Lisandro Pardabu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cortez Ceraso, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Xicu Robla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zarbonin Frejon having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in ElMorro FC's zone, Ferrer Hiriart stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zarbonin Frejon came out of the goal and Ferrer Hiriart tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, ElMorro FC's Cortez Ceraso got a free kick in the 27th minute. When Sánchez Alsua fell near the penalty area in the 32nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored ElMorro FC's protests and gave Sánchez Alsua a yellow card for diving instead. After having played for 34 minutes, Ferrer Hiriart managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rodas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ferrer Hiriart was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Asensio Teijeiro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Zarbonin Frejon read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 35th minute of play. Luis Cachon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. During the 44th minute of the match Sánchez Alsua completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Sánchez Alsua a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Sánchez Alsua hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. Ferrer Hiriarts short, quick shot in the 45thth minute got Zarbonin Frejon to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Candelario Olaso to make the kick off. In the 60thth minute of the game Ferrer Hiriart who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but ElMorro FC's Zarbonin Frejon was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Zarbonin Frejon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ferrer Hiriart in the 64th minute of play. If Ferrer Hiriart had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Luis Cachon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the ElMorro FC defense, Ferrer Hiriart kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Zarbonin Frejon. The ElMorro FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Zarbonin Frejon should have stopped the shot. In the 84th minute, Ferrer Hiriart got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Gilmar Valdenebro fell near the penalty area in the 88th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rodas's protests and gave Gilmar Valdenebro a yellow card for diving instead. After 87 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Rodas! Zarbonin Frejon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ferrer Hiriart, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ferrer Hiriart in the 97th minute of play forced ElMorro FC's goalkeeper Zarbonin Frejon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 98th minute, Asensio Teijeiro left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Rodas fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. When the referee ended the match the Rodas players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
