Xurdin Caunedo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Quintana Azcona, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. liga's Xurdin Caunedo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save liga from getting a goal against them. In the 21st minute, Quintana Azcona fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Xurdin Caunedo, passed just outside the right post. An unexpected shot in the 24th minute by Hurtado Santiyan got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. 26 minutes into the match, Quintana Azcona dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Xurdin Caunedo, 1-0. Sapote's Pedro Ortiz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Freddy Bacon in the 30th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Quintana Azcona in the 35th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Xurdin Caunedo saved liga from getting behind. In the 47th minute, Hurtado Santiyan fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Geancarlos Ordas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Ortiz having to interfere. If Quintana Azcona had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Quintana Azcona sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Xurdin Caunedo came out of the goal in the 68th minute to try and stop a shot by Sapote's Quintana Azcona. But to his dismay, Quintana Azcona quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. If Quintana Azcona had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Gian-Carlo Ayo fell near the penalty area in the 72nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored liga's protests and gave Gian-Carlo Ayo a yellow card for diving instead. Gian-Carlo Ayo hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. 77 minutes into the game, Xian Zaton was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sapote's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave liga the free kick.
