When the match clock showed 11 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Iván Blasco sped through Gulac's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Zarbonin Queduro. 14 minutes into the match, Gulac's goal looked a bit too open when Uxio Urquijo came free, but Zarbonin Queduro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Iván Blasco took the ball and in the 15 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Zarbonin Queduro. Zarbonin Queduro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Uxio Urquijo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Zarbonin Queduro having to make a save. Gulac's Zarbonin Queduro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Iván Blasco in the 22nd minute of play. The audience was convinced that Iván Blasco's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Zarbonin Queduro was relentless in the 23rd minute of the game. Iván Blasco might have been able to make a better finish in the 25th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Zarbonin Queduro. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. In the 34thth minute of the game Iván Blasco who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Gulac's Zarbonin Queduro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 35 minutes into the match, Gulac's goal looked a bit too open when Iván Blasco came free, but Zarbonin Queduro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Uxio Urquijo came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the BARCELONA S.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Uxio Urquijo couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Uxio Urquijo in the 39th minute of play forced Gulac's goalkeeper Zarbonin Queduro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Gulac booed when BARCELONA S.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zarbonin Queduro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Uxio Urquijo, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Xzavier Sorriva took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rodríguez Ballejos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Uxio Urquijo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zarbonin Queduro having to interfere. With a little luck, Gulac's Zarbonin Queduro got control of the ball when Uxio Urquijo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Iván Blasco's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Zarbonin Queduro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 70th minute of play.
