The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rubio Somellera during the 8th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 8th match minute, Guanazan SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rubio Somellera to maneuver through the defense. When Jaime Pascalin in the 11th play minute got the chance to kick a hard shot on goal from short distance neither the defense or Alex Vispieres kept up with the ball and suddenly the score was 2-0 when the ball slipped into goal inside the left pole. Jaime Pascalin struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Alex Vispieres didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for M E G A D E T H. Clive Burr made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rubio Somellera in the 18th minute of play. Rubio Somellera received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Clive Burr tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ximenes Aragon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, M E G A D E T H's Johnny Lorca got a free kick in the 24th minute. 25 minutes into the match, M E G A D E T H's goal looked a bit too open when Rubio Somellera came free, but Clive Burr reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 33 minutes, Rubio Somellera managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Guanazan SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rubio Somellera was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a little luck, Guanazan SC's Alex Vispieres got control of the ball when Victoriano Socorro tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 37th minute, Rubio Somellera got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 41 played minutes Guanazan SC got a freekick which was hit by Hernan Leira. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jaime Pascalin to make the kick off. Victoriano Socorro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Alex Vispieres tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 59 minutes, Jaime Pascalin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. M E G A D E T H's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jaime Pascalin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 60 minutes of play, M E G A D E T H's Jaime Pascalin made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alex Vispieres was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 65th minute Victoriano Socorro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alex Vispieres saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Johnny Lorca during the 65th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Clive Burr showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rubio Somellera in the 67th minute of the match. In the 70th match minute, Guanazan SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roris Isurieta to maneuver through the defense. Félix Monteagudo was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 71st played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. 73 minutes into the game, Johnny Lorca cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0. Alex Vispieres was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Victoriano Socorro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 82 played minutes M E G A D E T H got a freekick which was hit by Xavon Quiroga. Clive Burr made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ximenes Aragon in the 84th minute. After 85 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for M E G A D E T H! In the 92nd minute, Jaime Pascalin left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The M E G A D E T H fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-2. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. M E G A D E T H fully deserved thier win.
