Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Zabal Barnuevo started the match with the kick off. 13 minutes into the match, UD Sabaloma's goal looked a bit too open when Luis Rafales came free, but Macias Herrasti reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 19th minute, Luis Rafales ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Macias Herrasti was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Luis Rafales received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Macias Herrasti tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Macias Herrasti showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luis Rafales, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. 34 minutes into the match, UD Sabaloma's Fleitas Lemus sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Fernando Torroba narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zabal Barnuevo in the 39th minute of play forced Rompido's goalkeeper Fernando Torroba to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fernando Torroba showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zabal Barnuevo in the 44th minute of the match. Luis Rafales fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Macias Herrasti having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

If Xan Escorcia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 54 minutes into the match, Fleitas Lemus notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Rompido's Fernando Torroba. Fernando Torroba was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Zabal Barnuevo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fernando Torroba having to interfere. Fernando Torroba showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zabal Barnuevo, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. Fleitas Lemus scored 2-1 in the 68th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fernando Torroba, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 71st match minute, UD Sabaloma was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roberto Jado to maneuver through the defense. The corner ended in Flavio Campos almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but UD Sabaloma's Macias Herrasti did a great save. After 74 played minutes UD Sabaloma got a freekick which was hit by Zabal Barnuevo. In the 80th minute, Zabal Barnuevo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The UD Sabaloma fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2. Aurelio Leiro hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. In the 83rd minute, Luis Rafales fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Macias Herrasti, passed just outside the right post. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Vilson Tosantos during the 84th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 85 played minutes UD Sabaloma got a freekick which was hit by Vilson Tosantos. 92 minutes into the match, Fleitas Lemus had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fernando Torroba. Rompido's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Fleitas Lemus was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-2. Rompido's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
