Tocoymevoy's Ramiro Labiada played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hurtado Trasgallo in the 16th minute of play. With a little luck, Tocoymevoy's Ramiro Labiada got control of the ball when Zoilo Camarero tried to sneak it across the goal line. Hurtado Trasgallo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Ramiro Labiada tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alexander Tenorio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mauro Cervantez in the 44th minute of play. Ramiro Labiada made a fantastic save in the 47th minute, when Zoilo Camarero sent off a good shot on target. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Fabio Torrado made a kick off. Fabian Sigler, 53 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Alexander Tenorio made a fantastic save in the 59th minute, when Mauro Cervantez sent off a good shot on target. In the 60th minute, Rocafuerte Fútbol Club's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Mauro Cervantez fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Tocoymevoy's Fabio Torrado got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Mauro Cervantez's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 68thth minute, Alexander Tenorio skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 69th match minute, Rocafuerte Fútbol Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Graziani Boiro to maneuver through the defense. Rocafuerte Fútbol Club's Alexander Tenorio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fabio Torrado in the 72nd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Rocafuerte Fútbol Club's zone, Mauro Cervantez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. The referee felt a red card was in order, 89 minutes into the game, when Dannes Picado put in a rough tackle. Celso Sarmiento didn't quite understand what happened when in the 92 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. Tocoymevoy's Ramiro Labiada played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hurtado Trasgallo in the 93rd minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Rocafuerte Fútbol Club had won after a very even match.
