Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Humberto Laje started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Xilo Cos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Humberto Laje in the 10th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alexander Tenorio prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Christobal Rico received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Alexander Tenorio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Benitez's Humberto Laje got a free kick in the 21st minute. Xilo Cos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hurtado Trasgallo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 25 minutes into the match, Humberto Laje dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Alexander Tenorio, 1-0. After 67 minutes of play, Benitez's Humberto Laje made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alexander Tenorio was left in no man's land by his defense there! 79 minutes into the game, Fabian Sigler was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Rocafuerte Fútbol Club's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Benitez the free kick. After 78 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. After having played for 84 minutes, Christobal Rico managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Benitez's supporters crossed their fingers, but Christobal Rico was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 86thth minute of the game Christobal Rico who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Rocafuerte Fútbol Club's Alexander Tenorio was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Humberto Laje in the 91st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alexander Tenorio saved Rocafuerte Fútbol Club from getting behind. Humberto Laje fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alexander Tenorio having to interfere.
