Manuel Trubica made a fantastic save in the 24th minute, when Lastra Murillas sent off a good shot on target. Zacarias Liñan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Lavalle Pumareto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 31st minute of the match Ismael Capetillo shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Lavalle Pumareto showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. When Saritama Martijana came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the D. Quito fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Saritama Martijana couldn't finish the play. In the 33rd match minute, Auca FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roberto Guisado to maneuver through the defense. Ismael Capetillo took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 37th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Lavalle Pumareto. D. Quito's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After 39 played minutes D. Quito got a freekick which was hit by Geancarlos Caroll. After 39 played minutes, Auca FC's Walter Sufiria shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Lavalle Pumareto came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Auca FC reached it. If Carlos Varona had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lavalle Pumareto didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Zacarias Liñan went, in the 42nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Lavalle Pumareto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carlos Varona in the 46th minute of the match. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

After having played for 55 minutes, Elias Abarca managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. D. Quito's supporters crossed their fingers, but Elias Abarca was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 61 minutes into the match, D. Quito's goal looked a bit too open when Carlos Varona came free, but Lavalle Pumareto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Saritama Martijana kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. Lavalle Pumareto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carlos Varona in the 67th minute of the match. In the 69th minute, Ismael Capetillo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 73rd minute, Zacarias Liñan left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Auca FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Manuel Trubica showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lastra Murillas in the 76th minute of the match. Agustín Valles hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. 82 minutes into the match, Auca FC's Zacarias Liñan sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lavalle Pumareto narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Auca FC's Zacarias Liñan managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Agustín Valles in the 85 minute of the game. Lavalle Pumareto was a little too slow when Romeo Nalda got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 90th minute. The score was now 0-4. The Auca FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Auca FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
