When the match clock showed 15 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Angel Riesgo sped through CD Pijigual's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Alexandro Morlote. Rafael Reyes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ramón Barreneche, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 21st minute Joffre Yanez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rafael Reyes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 24th minute Igor Villarino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alexandro Morlote saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

Angel Riesgo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Alexandro Morlote tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 64 minutes into the match, Joffre Yanez had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rafael Reyes. Wingers F.C.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Joffre Yanez was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-1. Rafael Reyes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ramón Barreneche in the 68th minute of the match. In the 79th minute, Igor Villarino got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Pablo Sobrado fell near the penalty area in the 84th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored CD Pijigual's protests and gave Pablo Sobrado a yellow card for diving instead. After 84 played minutes CD Pijigual got a freekick which was hit by Pablo Sobrado. If Ramón Barreneche had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Wingers F.C.'s zone, Joffre Yanez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rafael Reyes came out of the goal and Joffre Yanez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 95th match minute, Wingers F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alfredo Herenchun to maneuver through the defense. CD Pijigual's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
