With a little luck, Mendez SC's Zeruko Olaso got control of the ball when Cortez Grande tried to sneak it across the goal line. With his leg Zeruko Olaso managed to avoid a goal in the 19thth minute, when Leparolacce's Cortez Grande fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 1-0 became the score in the 21st minute when Cortez Grande elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. When Leparolacce's Cortez Grande in the 28th minute got a chance for a shot 28th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Mendez SC's goalie prevented a goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Faustino Bracho in the 30th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Zeruko Olaso saved Mendez SC from getting behind. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ramón Barreras during the 30th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. If Cortez Grande had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Romero Olazagoitia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zeruko Olaso having to interfere. When Cortez Grande came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Leparolacce fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cortez Grande couldn't finish the play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Romero Olazagoitia managed to get in a good position for a shot. Leparolacce's supporters rose to their feet, but Romero Olazagoitia was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zeruko Olaso breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cortez Grande received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Zeruko Olaso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cortez Grande succeeded in the game's 63rd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-0. Zeruko Olaso stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cortez Grande's shot from short distance in the 67th minute. After 68 played minutes Mendez SC got a freekick which was hit by Xefe Abin. The supporters of Mendez SC booed when Leparolacce was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luis-Antonio Haya didn't get a good kick on the ball. Faustino Bracho struck a weak shot in the 72nd minute. Zeruko Olaso didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Leparolacce. When the referee ended the match the Leparolacce players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
